Before my Cube experience, I played PC games on and off (never really liked PCs for games). My best gaming times, before the Cube (BC) were on 8 and 16bit Amiga and Atari systems. Simple, playable games, no messing with installs, with great plotlines and abstractions. The good old days. Nintendo gets this, and all of their Cube titles are fun (the Wii ones look even better).
And all of the Zelda games I've played since are a blast (even the really old ones), well worth $20 a pop. I'm waiting until next year to pick up a Wii (I just found a copy of Orcana of Time), but I know I'll enjoy the next Zelda when I get it.
Ok, ok. The gamecube controller was good for some games... but try playing something like Soul Caliber.
