Which is funny. But if my name were Daniel I would be ready to break some face. :)

Re: The Painfully Slow iTunes Music Store

> seems like it could be a smug cloud

Huh?

Re: The Painfully Slow iTunes Music Store

I find that iTunes is way more resource hungry than it should be (at least on Windows). I got an iPod at work (iPods for education initiative thing). My computer here is a 1.8 Ghz machine with half a gig of RAM -- yet when I start up iTunes, it grinds to a halt for about 30 seconds. When I plug in my iPod, it takes a good 2 minutes of grinding and non-activity until the iPod is accessible through iTunes. At home it's a little better (I've got a 2.8 Ghz machine with about half a gig of RAM there), but there's still a good 30 second delay between the time I plug in my iPod and the time I can actually update it.

Re: The Painfully Slow iTunes Music Store

seems like it could be a smug cloud.

Re: The Painfully Slow iTunes Music Store

As an Apple shareholder, I'm hoping that peak hours run 24-7. :)
