The thing is people are going to believe what they want to believe, including the bs that is being spewed about Obama. The Muslim thing, the late term abortions, the "lack" of experience, the "celebrity" thing (what IS that about?)...they won't listen to reason because they already know the answers. I admire you for trying respectfully and thoughtfully. Gotta love people and politics.

I'm a friend of Marisol's and she has been sending me links to your blog on occasion. I've appreciated your well thought out discourse and research (even if I don't agree with everything you've written). It has given me some ideas on how to approach those who differ from me in thought and ideology. I often respond with emotion as well and have been trying to figure out better ways to deal.Thanks.

Re: My Letter to a McCain Supporter (Continued)

I think some people won't listen to reason. Republicans traditionally take less from the rich, and the rich cling to that. Obviously it's better to spend infinite amounts on the war, lower taxes and create a deficit so huge future generations won't be able to keep up with the interest payments. So long as you don't help the poor and middle class with those taxes. That's sound fiscal policy right there.

Re: My Letter to a McCain Supporter (Continued)

Have you seen this list yet?

http://www.kskirby.net/mccain.html

It's a 100+ reasons not to vote for McCain with sources.
