He runs this state like a slightly right democrat (right being contrasted by other democrats and not ideological center). And as stated, no wonder he likes the package. Any time the feds offer him money, it's a good idea since spending is so out of control.

Re: Arnold Rocks

exactly.

par for arnie's course.

same mentality that the southwestern states are suing the federal government for not providing better border security, which increases state program expenses for illegla immigrants; it's about the money.

and I, for the 165,000,000th (tax payers) time, don't believe the stimulus is anything but a smokescreen. The programs this stimulus is funding are mostly already included in other spending packages already pushed through. This just pushes that money back into the tax coffers, to be spent in some other less public means (interest on credit line "x"). Meanwhile, there's a credit line being taken out in my name that I don't get the option to say no to, nor to I get the option to determine how it's being spent, nor do my representatives when the bill is pushed through in a 1000+ page "summary" that many congressmen can't even get a hold of in the final voting phases that only yield a response of pork barrel appeasement. This credit line is made with a group of banks I can't see or meet with to determine the terms of my contract, and I really have no faith in the process as provided, when it's been forced upon me in this manner.

Bank "X" (not the Chinese) is making out like a bandit in this exchange. Someone is getting (or gotten) theirs in this exchange, otherwise we'd be have a competitive bidding process, and that's not happening.

I'm already a tax-slave for some months out of the year. It's about to increase because politicians thought they could play the banking field, and in the meantime soak some voting demographics for "representative constituents". Maybe it was the whole idea.

People will believe what they want with the stimulus. In fact, the euphoric high still rampant from the post-election Obamania will produce, for many, nothing but sunshine from the messiah's mouth, or ass.

You would think an atheist would easily recognize religious fervor.

-=T=-

Re: Arnold Rocks

Of course he's for it. His state is about to go bankrupt and this stimulus will give him some cash. Duh.

Re: Arnold Rocks

Arnold is known for being his own man. Republicans usually hail their "group-think" mentality, but Arnold is not that kind of Republican. I think if the Republicans where serious about rebranding themselves in a post-Bush era, they should look to Arnold to lead the way.
